Red River Valley Gymnastics has a diverse and experienced staff, each with a unique background in the sport. Our coaches strive to develop a love for the sport of gymnastics and our goal is to see that every child who participates in our programs receives the same quality instruction regardless of their age or ability.
Hi. My name is Amber Newland. My husband, Jeremy, and I live in Alvarado, MN with our two dogs. I started working at RRVG in the Fall of 2012. My favorite part of my job is seeing all the smiling faces as the children walk into the front doors of RRVG.
Hi! My name is Jenna. I was born and raised in Grand Forks. I was a gymnast at RRVG, and I started coaching in 2002.
Hi, my name is Courtney. I am from Maple Grove, Minnesota. I graduated from UND with a degree in Anthropology and Psychology in December 2013. I started gymnastics when I was 2 years old. I competed for Twin City Twisters, Midwest Gymnastics and Maple Grove Senior High. I started coaching at RRVG in the summer of 2011 and never left. My favorite part about coaching is watching the “light bulb” moments when a gymnast figures out a new skill. I am married with three furry children.
Hola. My name is Gabe. I was born in Peorsall, Texas and rasied in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. I am married to a beautiful woman and have 2 handsome sons. I like doing whatever they do. I have now been at the gym for about 5 years. Favorite thing about my job is the setting! Can’t stop moving once I enter the building. Oh Ya! I clean and maintain the RRVG Building.
Boys Team Coordinator
I have been with RRVG for as long as I can remember. First, as a gymnast and later as a coach. I am studying Computer Science and going through ROTC at UND. I am hoping to commission as a CRO in the Air Force. I am getting married in July of 2018.
I am originally from Casselton, North Dakota and I came to Grand Forks to attend UND. I graduated from UND in 2015 with a degree in General Studies. I was on the FM Acro team for 8 years. My favorite part of working at RRVG is getting to see the kids I work with learn new skills.
Cheer Program Coordinator
Hi! My name is Kendra, I am the coordinator of the All – Star Cheerleading Program here at RRVG. I have been working here since 2014 when I moved to Grand Forks to attend UND. Before moving to North Dakota, I coached at my hometown gym in Helena, MT. I also competed at this gym through my senior year in high school. My favorite memory from cheer was when my Level 5 stunt group won 1st place at my las National Championships in Anaheim, CA.
Hi! My name is Aiden. I am from Bauman, North Dakota and am currently attending UND. I am the oldest of 6. Before moving here, I coached gymnastics for the last three years in my hometown.
My name is Alyssa. I am a Physical Therapy graduate student at UND and I am currently doing clinicals. I previously did gymnastics in St. Cloud, MN for 15 years and I have been involved with RRVG for 5 years.
Hi, my name is Brianna. I am a Sophomore at UND, and I competed at Bismarck Gymnastics Academy for 9 years.
My name is Brittany, and I am a freshman in college at UND. I am planning to major in Nursing. I was a gymnast for 12 years here at RRVG.
My name is Carli and I’m a junior at Grand Forks Central. I’ve been coaching for about a year and a half, and I have worked with kids for the last 5 years. I cheer for my high school and I also enjoy dance.
I am Courtney, from Maple Grove, MN. I did gymnastics for Gleasons Maple Grove for 8 years. I then went to high school gymnastics for 4 years. I enjoy shopping, hanging out with friends and going to my cabin in Brainerd, MN.
I have been coaching gymnastics for almost 4 years. I recently moved to Grand Forks to attend UND. My goal is to continue to coach even after I start my career which will be in the health field. I love coaching!
My name is Emma. I was a competitive gymnast at RRVG for 14 years. I am a junior in high school at Sacred Heart in East Grand Forks.

My name is Jen, and I am a Practical Nursing student at Northland. I have been involved with RRVG since 1996, starting as a gymnast and moving into coaching.
I am from Omaha, NE. I’ve played almost every sport out there and my favorite is rugby. Some of my interests are fishing, hunting, singing, and flying planes. I am currently attending UND as an Airport Management major and I am also involved with the Air Force ROTC program.
Hi, I’m Katrina. I was a gymnast for 10+ years at Midwest Gymnastics in Little Canada, MN. I coached at Midwest before I moved to Grand Forks to attend UND. I have a degree in Kinesiology. I have been coaching at RRVG for the last four years.
I am a senior at UND. I am going to be an Elementary School Teacher. I am student teaching in Australia next semester. Some fun facts about me are, I am a twin, I love to be outside, my favorite color is blue, and Parmesan cheese is the way to my heart.
I was a gymnast for 16 years in my hometown of Jamestown, ND. I started coaching when I was 14 and have done it ever since. I have also worked as a lifeguard and a CNA. I am attending UND for Nursing.

Hi, I’m Nicole. I grew up in a small town of 200 people, but I still had the privilege of doing gymnastics for 15 years. I am now a senior at UND, majoring in Public Administration and minoring in Psychology and Political Science. I have been with RRVG for 3 years. A fun fact about me is I was in Norway and Sweden for a summer and I can eat a whole jar of pickles.
